Parashar Lake is a freshwater lake which is located at a heights of 2,730 metres from the sea level in the Mandi district of Himachal Pradesh, India. Prashar Lake is a picturesque lake, situated 49 km east of the town of Mandi and has a three storied pagoda-like temple, dedicated to the sage Prashar. The lake is surrounded by snow-capped mountains. How to Reach Prashar Lake
To get there, take a direct cab or bus from Mandi (50km). The nearest airport and railway station are both 70km away in Bhuntar and Joginder Nagar respectively. From there, hire a cab or take public transport. Trekking to the lake is an exciting experience with lovely mountain views, flora and fauna, and local people. The 8km trek starts in Bagi Village which can be reached by hired cab or self-driving.
